Treasurer

The Treasurer oversees NAKA's financial health, managing budgets, financial reporting, and ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial accounts and transactions
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to the board
  • Develop and monitor the annual budget
  • Process membership dues and other payments
  • Ensure timely payment of organizational obligations
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Coordinate with accountants for tax filings
  • Provide financial guidance for organizational decisions

Qualifications

  • Strong financial management and accounting skills
  • Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
  • Proficiency with financial software and spreadsheets
  • High integrity and attention to detail
  • Understanding of nonprofit financial practices preferred

Time Commitment

This role requires approximately 6-10 hours per month, including board meetings, committee work, and event participation.
